Where your AI data goes
Last updated 20 October 2026
This page explains where the text you send to BlueMesh's AI goes. The short version: your questions go to an AI company to get an answer, our server passes them on without keeping the text, and your chats stay on your computer. Team chats are the exception.
Which companies get it
- DeepSeek, servers in China: the Standard and Pro models.
- Anthropic, servers in the USA: the Fast and Expert models. The free question box on the home page also uses Fast.
What is sent
The question you type, the earlier messages of the same chat that the model needs, and the pictures, PDFs and text you attach. Pictures and PDFs are read on your computer first; the text from them goes with your question.
How long chats are kept
- Your chats: kept on your computer only. Our server passes them to the AI company and does not store the text.
- Team chats: stored on our server, so your team can see them, until someone deletes them. The person who started a team chat can delete it.
- Usage records: for each answer we keep the model, the number of tokens and the credits used. We do not keep the text. How long these records are kept is in the Privacy Policy.
- The AI companies: they keep data under their own terms.
Do the AI companies train on it?
Under the API terms of DeepSeek and Anthropic, data sent through their API is not used to train their models. These terms can change, so check the companies' own websites for the current wording.
Hiding addresses and passwords
In the app, Settings > Privacy > "Hide addresses and passwords from the AI" replaces IP addresses, passwords, SNMP communities and keys in your text with stand-ins before it is sent, and puts your real addresses back in the answer. You can see what was hidden on each message. It is a helper, not a guarantee. Do not paste passwords, keys or private data you do not need to share, and replace real addresses with examples when you can.
