BlueMesh Certification

The two exam stages, the rules and how to get your certificate.

On this page

BlueMesh Certification shows that you can configure and fix real Cisco networks. Click BlueMesh Certification in the sidebar. The certification is free for now (normally $30), with 5 attempts.

The two stages

  • Stage 1, theory exam: 55 questions in 90 minutes. You pass with 82% (46 of 55).
  • Stage 2, fix the broken labs: 10 broken labs in 150 minutes, typed into a simulated Cisco command line. All ten must work to pass. The labs go from easy (one fault) to hard (up to 20 devices and about 10 faults).

Take them in any order, on any day. You get your certificate when you have passed both. After a failed attempt you get labs you have not seen before.

Practise first

  • Practice questions are free, have no timer and do not count.
  • Start a Stage 2 test run is free and does not use an attempt.

Before the exam starts

BlueMesh checks your computer before the clock starts:

  1. Close every program that is not allowed: web browsers, AI apps, remote-control apps (such as AnyDesk or TeamViewer), meeting apps and screen recorders. Close them for me closes them (unsaved work in them is lost). Then click Check again.
  2. Use one screen only.
  3. The exam runs in full screen in its own window.

If a program will not close, close it yourself (or end it in Task Manager), then click Check again.

Rules during the exam

  • Stay in the exam window and in full screen. Leaving it, or opening a program that is not allowed, is a strike. 5 strikes end the attempt as failed.
  • Copy, paste and screenshots are off.
  • The BlueMesh AI, Engineer tools, Reference, Lab templates, Team chats and Live Network are paused.
  • Closing the window does not stop the clock. You need internet the whole time.
  • Quitting, running out of time and failing each use one attempt.

Your certificate

When you pass both stages, your certificate is checked by our team and you get an e-mail when it is approved. If the exam noted anything unusual, you are asked to explain it first. Then click Download certificate (PDF).

Anyone can check a certificate on the Verify page with its code. See an example certificate.
