Lab templates, practice and learning

Ready labs, the practice terminal, Learn, Reference and Engineer tools.

Lab templates

Click Lab templates in the sidebar. These are ready labs on VLANs, inter-VLAN routing, OSPF, HSRP, BGP, static routing, DHCP, NAT, ACLs and more. They come in four steps: Simple, Bigger, Complex and Full system. Search by name or filter by topic.

Each template has these buttons:

• Create lab: builds the full, configured lab for GNS3.
• Start blank: cables only. You type the configuration, then click Check my work.
• Practice here: practise in BlueMesh itself, with no GNS3 and no router images.
• Export: save the lab file.

Templates are stored in the app, so they use no AI credits.

Practice terminal

Practice here opens a simulated Cisco command line. Devices are on the left, the terminal in the middle and the goals on the right. ? shows help, Tab completes a command and the arrow keys bring back old commands. PCs take simple commands such as ip, show ip and ping. Click Check my work to see how many goals you met.

Learn

Click Learn in the sidebar. It has four tabs:

• Lessons: short lessons, ticked when done.
• Practice: free multiple-choice questions on Fundamentals, Switching, Routing, Services, Security and Troubleshooting.
• Mock exam: a practice exam for CCNA, ENCOR or ENARSI.
• My progress: what you have done so far.

Reference

Click Reference (or press Ctrl+K) to look up devices, cards and modules, and Cisco commands, with no AI.

Engineer tools

Click Engineer tools for offline tools that need no AI: Subnet calculator (IPv4 and IPv6), VLSM planner, Route summary, ACL tester, Compare configs and Read show output. Each tool has an Example button, and Ask BlueMesh sends the result to the chat. Engineer tools need Pro or Team.
